This blog is dedicated to capturing the minds of children and developing a love of learning at home. I’m a wife, mom to 2 boys, and full-time engineer. I love learning and solving problems (hence the engineering career), and I love watching my boys learn and figure things out. Little minds are the best and I want to encourage their curiosity and cultivate their critical thinking skills. Hopefully they’ll grow up loving learning as much as I do.
As a full-time working mom, it is a struggle to find the time to set up learning experiences at home. I don’t have the time (or patience) to spend hours running around town collecting supplies and setting up games, lessons, and experiments that will take my kid 15 minutes (tops!) to complete. Who has time for that? Not me. And probably not you.
That’s why I started this blog. I want to keep a record of the activities I do with my boys, and provide you with the resources necessary to create a fun learning environment in your own home. Here you’ll find project ideas, activity guides, product reviews, and printables – sprinkled with bits of encouragement and humor to get us through the rough days.
My biggest guilty pleasure is reality TV (especially anything on HGTV). I enjoy being crafty, playing the guitar, and making little family videos.
